Manufacturing Accounting Manager

The Manufacturing Accounting Manager has primary responsibility for the Company’s product costing models and analysis of inventory, cost of sales, and standard cost variances.
Specifically, the Manufacturing Accounting Manager is responsible for:
· Leading and managing the determination of standard cost of new and existing products
· Preparation of inventory and cost of sales analysis and reports on a monthly basis
· Analyzing variances from standard costs and determining and communicating underlying causes with functional departments
· Preparation of monthly reconciliations for inventory and cost of sales accounts
· Supervision of manufacturing accounting staff and review of their work and reports
· Participation on cross-functional project teams relating to new or existing product costing or production changes
· Assisting in developing and maintaining an effective and efficient internal control structure
· Approving and posting adjusting journal entries
· Providing backup for Corporate Controller responsibilities
Ideally, candidates should possess:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business
· At least two years manufacturing accounting experience
· A professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or senior student)
· Demonstrated ability in performing detailed analysis
· Excellent communication skills
· Superb organizational skills and attention to detail
· Experience leading and developing others
· A builder committed to continuous improvement
· Personally invested in the success of the business
· Motivated, focused and accountable for results
